Johann Wolfgang von GoetheDaniel Deinhart was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1971. His interest for photography arose parallel with his occupation as flightcrew for a German airline. The dedication to the African wilderness he discovered on one of the numerous safaris to Kenya and Tanzania. The Eastafrican grassland savannah of the Masai Mara / Serengeti ecosystem is his favourite location. Nowhere else in the world can one find greater populations of migrating herbivores and its predators as in the steppe of Eastafrica. Antarctica represents another field of his photography. The majestic ice scenery and its fauna let him catch fire for the sixth continent and the surrounding subpolar islands.
